What happened at PERL HQ in August?

August has been a month of celebrating what’s new at PERL! We have new content creators working with us, we’ve got some new products being worked on behind the scenes and our new Cleansing Balm is currently being tested by our wonderful team of product testers!

Our Balancing Cleansing Balm is now in customer trials 🧼

We had over 2,000 people apply to be a product tester for our new cleansing balm, we were so happy to see so many of you wanted to help us out!

Our testers have all now been chosen, congratulations to those who were picked, and sorry to those who weren’t (keep an eye out as we’ll have more opportunities in the future!). Trials are underway with our team of product testers trying it out for a few weeks to see how it removes their make up and cleans their skin.

We’re super excited about this new product, the balm is a gel like texture unlike anything else currently on the market. It removes make up super easily, lathers up well and doesn’t sting your eyes.

We celebrated real skin with our skin positivity photoshoot event! 📸

On Thursday 1st August we partnered with Isabella from Spotty Girl Summer to host a skin positivity photoshoot at Candid Studios. The day brought together a group of women to share their personal experiences of skin and mental health, where we shot some beautiful shots showing their real skin.

It was a wonderful experience to be able to capture their confidence through these photoshoots, and inspiring to hear their own stories of their journeys. Isabelle and I hosted a panel talk where we discussed all things mental health and skincare, it was a lovely intimate event, and I felt so much positivity and love in that room.

 

 

Grace Beverley spoke about OUR LASH OIL!! 🤯

Our absolute queen and idol Grace Beverley has once again talked about our products!

Do you remember the troubles we had when finalising our packaging for the Lash Oil? We’d ordered glass bottles with black text (to match the rest of our products), but we realised once the oil and spoolie were inside the tube they were a lot darker, and the black text wasn’t readable! I posted a TikTok asking the PERL community what they thought we should do, launch with the black text and change it later, or go back to the drawing board…

Imagine my shock and surprise when Grace Beverley (girl boss extraordinaire, owner of TALA and Shreddy!) commented on MY video sharing her advice!

PERL has a new face! 👋🏼

We said hello to the lovely Emmy who is our new content creator. You’ve probably seen her over on our TikTok and Instagram as she’s been creating the most dreamy skin and haircare content!

Hi! My name is Emmy and I joined PERL at the start of July as a Content Creation Intern and have been working super intently to get PERL landing on your ForYou Pages! I graduated from the University of Nottingham this summer with a BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences and have really been enjoying the creative freedom of making social media content. I’ve had a turbulent relationship with my skin personally and I really believe everyone deserves to feel the best in their own skin, which is why I love the values that PERL promotes.
