What happened at PERL HQ in July?
We gave away lots of free gifts 💖
Did you know that the 15th July was National ‘Give Something Away Day’?
Well when we heard we knew we had to do something a little special to celebrate our customers. Social Media Assistant Paige and Logistics and Packing Assistant Hannah were sent off with a simple brief - take to the streets to give away some free PERL products! We’ve seen so many other brands do this and we wanted to get involved, but it didn’t quite go to plan…
PERL HQ is in rural Watford (AKA the middle of nowhere!) so the poor girls were out on the country lanes armed with their signs and bags of free gifts to dish out. Sadly there just isn’t the footfall of willing gift receivers there are in London and the girls struggled to find anyone to surprise with a free gift!
All was not lost as instead we took to socials and emails to let our customers know that if they ordered that day we’d be putting random free gifts in their orders. These free gifts were all from other small businesses, one of my favourite things about owning PERL Cosmetics has been being able to showcase other business owners with events and days like these!
I hope all of our wonderful customers who were lucky enough to get a gift for for National Give Something Away Day enjoyed their surprise!
Isobel began trialling our newest product - our Cleansing Balm! 🧼
After months in the works we are finally in a position to have the formula ready for testing. Isobel has been trying it out herself and is happy now for us to move to customer trials!
We’ll be picking a group of product testers from the community. If selected you will be expected to trial the product for 2 weeks and share photos, videos and testimonials of your experience using the product.

As if just giving away freebies wasn’t enough we also decided we were due a sale as we haven’t had one in a while…

Team PERL won a day off (and maybe more…) ⚽
England may have sadly lost the Euros this month but the PERL girlies were keen to celebrate watching the final on Sunday 14th July. Pre-empting the inevitable hangover Emily and Paige made the cheeky suggestion of a late start on the Monday.
Big Boss Isobel strict as ever said the girls would have to ask the PERL community what they thought the girls should get - with the girls pushing it even further to ask whether they should get a half day off, full day off or even a cheeky trip to Greece…
You guys came through for them with your likes on our post and even got them as many likes as they needed to win a trip to Greece. Watch this space…
And a celeb was spotted using PERL to get ready for their upcoming movie... 🎬

What’s coming up in August?
Cleansing Balm tests! Our product testers will be picked very soon and will be trialling throughout August.
We are so excited to be hosting a really special event on 1st August which is all about celebrating real skin. We’ve partnered with Spotty Girl Summer and Candid Studios for an afternoon of connecting and collaborating to take some photos that celebrate real akin and real people.
